About the Collection

The Norton Simon Art Foundation’s collection includes some of the world’s most beloved artworks. Amassed over a 30-year period by the Norton Simon, this remarkable collection houses European art ranging from the early Renaissance to the 20th century, as well as South and Southeast Asian sculpture, paintings and textiles spanning 2,000 years. Since 1975, the collection has been on long-term loan to the Norton Simon Museum in Pasadena, California.

NSAF owns 2,725 works encompassing a diverse range of eras, regions, genres and mediums that reflect the tastes and artistic passions of Norton Simon.
